2. What data we use
Trade enquiries (wholesalers and custom editions). Through our enquiry form: your name, company, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, website, type of business, the route you choose (standard collection or custom edition), the countries and channels you sell in, VAT number, delivery country, expected order, the products you are interested in, your logo (for a custom edition), your message and the configuration you created in our 3D atelier.
Weddings in Egypt. Through our enquiry form: your name, WhatsApp number, email address (optional), city, wedding date, the celebrations you are ordering for, number of guests, what you are interested in and in what quantities, your role (bride, groom, family member or wedding planner; optional), your message and the design you created in our atelier. For personalised products, we use the couple's names and wedding date so that we can add them to the product.
If you fill in the form for someone else – as a family member or planner, for example – please let the couple know that you are sharing their details with us, and point them to this notice.
Orders and delivery. When you order, we use your billing and delivery details (name, address, phone number) and the products ordered. For deliveries to Egypt, Egyptian customs may also require identity or tax details. We only use these where needed for customs clearance.
WhatsApp and email. If you message or email us, we use your name, phone number or email address and the content of the conversation.
Visiting our website. Our hosting provider, Netlify, processes the technical data needed to display and secure the website, such as your IP address and information about your browser.
You are not required to give us any data. However, without contact details we cannot reply to your enquiry, and without an address we cannot deliver.
3. Why we use your data, on what lawful basis, and for how long
| Purpose | Data | Lawful basis | How long we keep it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Replying to enquiries and preparing quotes | Form details; WhatsApp and email conversations | Couples: steps you ask us to take before entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). Wholesalers: our legitimate interest in business communication (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) | 12 months after our last contact, if no order follows |
| Sending samples and fulfilling orders, including personalisation | Contact and order details; design or configuration from the atelier; the couple's names and wedding date | Performance of a contract (b); for wholesalers' contact persons: legitimate interest (f) | Order details: 7 years (see invoicing and accounting). Names and wedding date: up to 12 months after delivery, unless needed for our accounts |
| Delivery and customs clearance | Name, address, phone number; for Egypt, identity or tax details where required | Performance of a contract (b) | As long as needed for delivery and clearance; anything that forms part of our accounts: 7 years |
| Invoicing and accounting | Name, company, address, VAT number, order and invoice details | Legal obligation (c) | 7 years (statutory tax retention period) |
| Security and spam prevention | IP address, technical data, form content | Legitimate interest (f) | No longer than needed for security and for detecting faults and misuse |
| Handling legal claims | Data relevant to the claim | Legitimate interest (f) | For as long as the claim or dispute continues |
Legitimate interest means that we have an interest of our own, such as business contact with wholesalers or a secure website, and that we have weighed it against your privacy. You can object to this at any time (see section 8).
When a retention period ends, we delete or anonymise your data.
4. Who we share your data with
We share your data only with the parties we need to provide our services:
- Netlify, Inc. (United States): website hosting and form handling.
- Hostnet (the Netherlands): our email service.
- WhatsApp (part of Meta): when you contact us via WhatsApp. WhatsApp also processes data itself; its own terms and privacy policy apply to that.
- Couriers and freight forwarders: to deliver samples and orders.
- The Egyptian importer and customs authorities: for orders to Egypt only, for customs clearance.
- Our bookkeeper or accountant: for our accounts.
Parties that process data on our behalf may only use it for the task we give them.
5. Transfers outside the EEA
- Netlify (United States): on the basis of appropriate safeguards, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.
- WhatsApp: may process data outside the European Economic Area (EEA); see WhatsApp's privacy policy.
- Egypt: for orders to Egypt, we share the data needed for delivery and customs clearance with the courier, the freight forwarder, and the Egyptian importer and customs authorities. The European Commission has not decided that Egypt offers an adequate level of data protection. We transfer this data because it is necessary to perform our contract with you (Article 49(1)(b) GDPR): without it, we cannot deliver. This means your data may be less well protected in Egypt than under EU law.
6. Cookies and tracking
Our website does not place cookies and uses no analytics, tracking or marketing cookies. Our fonts are also served from our own website, not from an external service.
7. Security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. If you notice anything that suggests misuse, please let us know.
8. Your rights
You have the right to:
- access the data we hold about you;
- have incorrect or incomplete data corrected;
- have your data erased;
- restrict how we use your data;
- data portability: receive your data in a commonly used format, or have it sent to another party;
- object to our use of your data on the basis of legitimate interest.
We cannot delete some data straight away because the law requires us to keep it, such as our accounting records.
To exercise any of these rights, email hi@bloomissimo.com or send us a WhatsApp message. We will respond within one month. For complex requests, this may be extended by two further months; if so, we will let you know. We may ask you to confirm your identity.
We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing.
9. Complaints
If you have a complaint, please contact us first. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens), or with the data protection authority in the EU country where you live or work.
10. Children
Our services are not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.
11. Changes to this notice
We may update this notice from time to time. The latest version is always on this page, with its date at the top.
